Overview The Data Access & Privacy Lead will support the fast-growing Data Office. You will be working in Canoo's Data Office supporting data access and privacy practice across data governance, data management and other data products. The baseline data security program and corresponding requirements for PII and SPII were created incorporating the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as a baseline regulatory framework for all Canoo customers, regardless of state. You will have the opportunity to put your footprint on the growth of this team and accelerate delivery for our business functions such as Marketing, Sales, Customer Journey, Engineering & Manufacturing in compliant manner. Responsibilities The Data Access & Privacy Lead is responsible for interpreting and implementing Data Policies, Standards and Processes around securing and protecting Canoo's enterprise data in partnership with Canoo's Chief Information Security Office using the Data Governance tool ecosystem. In addition, the Data Access & Privacy Lead will work with other Technical Stewards in Canoo's Data Office to operate the Data Governance Program by monitoring the various metrics and scorecards around Security Monitoring, Risk Monitoring, Privacy Monitoring, Compliance Monitoring, Data Usage Monitoring and help enforce required fixes and improvements. Determine the overall approach to enforce Data Policies, Standards and Processes. Validate auditability of Data Policies, Standards, and Processes with Internal Audit. Support efforts to audit the compliance with Data Policies, Standards and Processes. Review deviations from Data Policies, Standards and Processes. Lead the end-to-end data access and controls processes and experiences. Execute data access processes to support employee and system access to critical data in Data & Analytics systems and across enterprise platforms. Support regulatory and audit reviews at various levels, including preparation of evidence materials for internal and external stakeholders. Lead and support implementing data discovery tools to uncover hidden sensitive data Implement and operate data masking and data encryption tools. Help establish data retention policies in accordance with business data lifecycle needs as well as compliance needs.Lead data access and protection related strategic initiatives or a component of an initiatives, in collaboration with Technology partners, Business stakeholders and Data Office. Continuous improvement of data access processes to simplify work, reduce complexity, improve data quality, and increase efficiency throughout the data lifecycle.Apply data security expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous data protection situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine. Support Data Governance enforcement activities such as Fixing Business Rules in OLTP Systems, Corrective Actions on business rules, Improve Data Policies, Improve Security Policies by working with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and other stakeholders. Qualifications Required Experience Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 15
years relevant work experience in fast paced data governance, data management environment. At least 5
years of working experience interpreting Data Policies, Standards and Processes to create requirements and implementing data access/protection management processes, procedures, and controls. Hands on experience with Data Classification, Data Privacy and Data Protection and Security Controls aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Information Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), Employee Information (EI), Financial Information (FI), etc. Experienced in running Audit Reports on Data Usage and other Data Policy Metrics and sharing them with stakeholders for data governance enforcement. Experienced in designing and building data approval workflows. Proficiency in implementing Data Security, Data Classification requirements using industry leading data governance technologies such as Informatica MDM Hub, IDQ, EDC and Axon. Effective communicator, comfortable building relationships and achieving consensus across a diverse set of business & IT stakeholders. Automotive industry experience. Preferred Experience Experience working with manufacturing or automotive industries with understanding of US data privacy laws. Experience handling Customer Privacy Data, Employee Personal Information with utmost care in meeting compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA. Experience working with modern cloud platforms like AWS, Google, or Azure. Experience working in data ecosystems comprised of data warehouses or data lakes on cloud Datawarehouse platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query or Databricks. Experience designing, building out and operationalizing a modern data stack.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
