The Human Resources Department at Descartes is looking for a Human Resources Manager, US to support our growing U.S. employee population. What we are looking for? As the Human Resources Manager, US you will lead a highly engaged and talented time of HR professionals that contribute to an employee-oriented team culture. We are looking for a trusted advisor to the management team on all aspects of human resources. Your professional judgment, business acumen and ability to provide independent creative solutions to critical HR problems will be vital to success in this role. You will be expected to work with the management, and remote HR team members to provide information, recommend appropriate solutions and successfully implement those solutions as needed. o Providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to a remote HR team, supporting 600
employees throughout the US. o Responsible for partnering with business functions to address specific organization needs, inquiries and issues in the areas of employee engagement and relations, performance management, compensation, recruitment, policies and procedures, employee benefits, leadership training, and employment law compliance. o Leading US merger and acquisition related tasks including due diligence and integrations. o Championing and leading company initiatives and programs, such as Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and training and development. o Reviewing and analyzing HR metrics to identify trends and key information to report to the executive team and develop business proposals/ recommendations to support business objectives. What you will bring? o Minimum 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience including experience managing an HR team. o Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels, both within and outside of the company. o A university degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related field of knowledge is required. o Strong understanding of human behavior, with ability to apply business tact and professionalism. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation. o Ability to work well under pressure with conflicting priorities and deadlines, and continuously demonstrate high personal standards for customer service. o HR experience in the U.S. is mandatory, additional global experience is considered an asset. o Prior experience related to due diligence and integration activities relate to mergers and acquisitions is an asset o Ability to navigate and utilize HRIS technology (experience with SAP SuccessFactors is an asset). o HR professional designation is preferred. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
