5 Quick Apply Full-time 10 hours ago Full Job Description PRS is looking for a Trailer Security Inventory Specialist to join our team here at the BNSF Alliance Terminal! The job pays hourly with a yearly earning potential of 30,000-$40,000 in your 1st year.
We're hiring for 2 shifts:
1900-330am Wed-Sun (M-T off) 1700-130am Sat-Wed (T-F off) Primary role is providing good inventory of intermodal units on the terminal.
APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a 1-hour commute of business location.
OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring relocation will NOT be considered.
The Trailer Security Inventory Specialist is responsible for inspecting the intermodal units arriving and departing the railroad facility, and providing an accurate yard inventory through a handheld computer.
This would include inspecting the unit numbers and each trailer and container for damage, as well as completing necessary paperwork as required by the customer.

Responsibilities:
Inspects all intermodal units arriving and departing the railroad intermodal facility on train for accuracy on unit numbers and initials.
Responsible for overseeing and documenting any damage to arriving or departing units with timeliness and accuracy.
Clearly outlines and communicates all damage incurred on appropriate forms and/or computer system with direct supervisor.
Understanding the risk assessment and risk management process to help identify, evaluate and manage potential risks.
Maintains a quality environment where performance inspections are handled accurately, safely, and accident & injury-free.
Ensures compliance is met under HAZMAT and OSHA Regulations.
This would include reporting any incidents to the supervisory immediately.
Yard Checkers are required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as safety vest, safety glasses, safety toe boots, and protective hard hat, when applicable.
Be familiar with all intermodal units, while maintaining a safe distance from moving vehicles.
Pick up debris in the inspection area to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsible for completing all required paperwork for the customer accurately.
Maintain company values, rules, policies, and procedures are met to fulfill the company mission, as well as productive relationships with customers and vendors.
Responsible for special tasks requested by management and/or supervisor.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid Drivers License.
Must pass a drug test, and background check.
Any felonies in the last 7 years or open cases will disqualify applicants.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with a variety of individuals.
Ability to listen, learn, take direction, make changes and work alone or in a group environment.
Work environment :
driving a pickup throughout the terminal.
The position may also be required to travel throughout the yard verifying the number of units.
The ability to work in an environment that may be hazardous to persons unable to see and hear fast-moving equipment.
