General Summary Small Engine Technician will inspect, service and repair power equipment.
Complete all paperwork associated with service and repair.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Customer Service Provide positive representation of store.
Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
Handle customer complaints.
Work to resolve problems with the customer and have a mutually fair and equitable solution.
Possess excellent product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Store Operations Ensure a positive, professional and safe work environment for all associates.
Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with customers.
Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
Repair or replace worn defective, or broken parts.
Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
Record and file all warranties.
Maintain and order replacement parts as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Other Essential Requirements Education High School or GED equivalent.
Experience Previous small engine repair experience.
Course completed in Small engine repair.
Physical Demands Sitting and operating chain sharpener.
Bending, standing, walking, lifting (up to 60 lbs) and climbing.
